Mercyhurst posted a 4-2 week by winning 3-of-4 against Tiffin and splitting with Ashland. Mercyhurst also hit three home runs on the week, receiving one from Walczak, one from Joe Luli and a John Blike’s first career grand slam, which helped them to a 7-6 win over Ashland on Wednesday. It was Blike’s third homer of the year and the first grand slam by any Laker this season... Steve Grife was outstanding in a game two win over Tiffin on SaturdaySaturday’s performance was his fourth complete game and second double-digit strikeout effort of the season, and it halted Tiffin’s seven-game winning streak that included wins over two Division I programs and a sweep of nationally ranked Grand Valley State. He held Tiffin to just four hits and only one extra base hit and surrendered only one walk, earning his first mound win since March 15—a span of four starts.
