Findlay is "Swimmin' for Women and Turning The Sink Pink"

The University of Findlay men’s and women’s swimming
and diving teams will be competing this weekend in Sink Natatorium
while sponsoring awareness for breast cancer. The Oilers will
compete against Urbana and Ursuline on Saturday, January 23 at
12:00 p.m. and then take on Wilmington on Sunday, January 24 at
1:00 p.m.
The tagline, “We are Swimmin' for Women and Turning the Sink
Pink”, will feature pink lane lines to go along with pink
caps for the competitors. Souvenir t-shirts will also be sold with
all proceeds going to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Saturday’s event will also be senior day for the men’s
and women’s squads. Lindsay Hatteberg will be honored on the
women’s side along with Jason Chomic from the men’s
team.
Hatteberg has been named All-American three times during her
career and has won two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) championships during her tenure with the
Oilers.
The senior from Louisville, Kentucky also holds school records in
the 50 free (23.46), 100 free (51.94), 200 free (1:54.76), 200
medley relay (1:52.26), 400 medley relay (4:08.39), 200 free relay
(1:40.62) and the 400 free relay (3:41.58).
Chomic has been a conference finalist six during his career,
finishing sixth in the 200 and 400 medley relays last season for
Findlay.
