GLIAC Members Team Up With the WBCA's Pink Zone To Wipe Out Breast Cancer
Bay City, Mich.-- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) member schools are teaming up with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Pink Zone" for the 2nd Annual Pink Wave events in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness and funds to help "Wipe out breast cancer."
GLIAC men's and women's basketball teams will wear pink shoe laces and pink warm-up shirts throughout the month of February to help in the breast cancer awareness campaign.
In addition, many GLIAC athletics departments will host special breast cancer awareness events in conjunction with home GLIAC basketball double headers through out the month. A list of these events is posted below. You can click on the event to see a description, if one has been provided.
Be sure to get out and cheer for your favorite GLIAC basketball teams as they work to win both the battle on the court and over breast cancer.
