SVSU Set To Host First Community Youth Day of 2010 Season

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Department of Athletics is set to host its first community youth day event of the 2010-11 season on October 9.

The kick-off event for the 2010 season is a Youth Basketball Clinic.  The clinic will be from 10:30 am-11:30 am, and is being held in conjunction with the Cardinals' homecoming football game against Michigan Tech at noon, followed by a volleyball match against Ashland at 4:00 pm.  The event is open to all Girls and Boys in the Great Lakes Bay Region who are in the grades K-8.

  • All Clinics are FREE!!
  • Clinics are conducted by SVSU coaching staff and student athletes at SVSU's Ryder Center.
  • Clinic participants will receive free admission to the game that follows the clinic, a coupon for a free hot dog and pop at the concession stand, a free T-shirt and potential halftime performances.  Parent(s) accompanying clinic participants will also receive complimentary admission to the game following the clinics.
  • T-shirts can be worn into Graff Chevrolet of Bay City for a free oil change.  Visit graffbaycity.com for more great offers.
  • College scholarships, a karaoke machine, bicycles and bicycle helmets are also given away after all clinics.  (Check the flyer for additional details)
