Tiffin SAAC Ends Basketball Season with Several Fun Events

TIFFIN, OH -- Tiffin University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted an action-packed day on Saturday, February 27 during Tiffin basketball’s final games of the season. As men’s and women’s basketball took on Findlay, SAAC hosted both Coaches vs. Cancer Day and Chipotle Day. With a packed house, the event was excellent for fun and fundraising.

In honor of Coaches vs. Cancer, SAAC accepted donations and sold raffle tickets for a gift basket of donated Tiffin apparel. The proceeds will be added to the SAAC team’s fundraising for the city of Tiffin’s Relay for Life on March 26.

To add to the fun, SAAC also worked with restaurant chain Chipotle to provide giveaways during both games. Chipotle generously donated food, t-shirts, and gift cards. Students who wore their “Go Green” shirts to support the Dragons participated in relay races during halftime for free burritos. Many spectators also received free chips and salsa. The games had the highest attendance of the year, and most agreed that it was a great way to end the season.
